Longer Wheelbase
When parked side-by-side, the Ford Expedition Max is noticeably longer than the standard Expedition. Here’s how they compare:

- Expedition Max length: 221.9″
- Standard Expedition wheelbase: 122.5″
- Expedition Max wheelbase: 131.6″
It is worth noting that due to the increased length, there is a reduction of approximately 200 to 300 pounds (depending on the trim) in towing capacity when opting for the Max version of the Ford Expedition.
Increased Cargo Space
When it comes to the Ford Expedition Max, it’s all about the cargo space and how much more of it you get. The numbers tell the whole story. Here are the cargo capacities for a standard Expedition configuration (the amount of space behind the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rows of seats):
