Every 2027 Ford F-250 comes with the 7.3L gas V8, rated at 420 horsepower and 445 lb-ft, and Ford recommends regular 87-octane fuel. The optional 6.7L High-Output Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel makes 500 horsepower, with 1,200 lb-ft of torque arriving at 1,600 rpm, and adds a diesel exhaust brake.

With the diesel ordered alongside the High-Capacity Axle Upgrade Package, the F-250 is rated, properly equipped, for 22,000 lbs conventional as a 4x4 Crew Cab or an 8-ft 4x4 SuperCab; without the package, conventional towing tops out at 18,200 lbs. Body choices for the 2027 Ford F-250 are a Regular Cab on the 8-ft bed, plus SuperCab and Crew Cab, each offering 6.75-ft and 8-ft lengths. XL and XLT come in all three; Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum are Crew Cab only. Seating tops out at six.

Tremor is a package rather than a trim on the 2027 Ford F-250, bringing 35-inch all-terrain tires and off-road tuned suspension with 1.7-inch twin-tube dampers. For 2027 it can be ordered on an XL with the STX Appearance and XL Driver Assist packages, or with the 8-ft box, and any Tremor truck is rated for 18,200 lbs of conventional towing when properly equipped.

XL Off-Road can now be ordered with 35-inch LT285/75R18 tires on the XL Crew Cab 4x4 short box, with a factory ride-height increase and no extra decals.
