Premium Exterior Features

The 2024 Ford Escape features a chrome grille strip, chrome exhaust tips, and chrome upper window molding to give the crossover a sleek, modern appearance. The 2024 Escape has a power liftgate, LED signature lighting, and customizable daytime running lights. On the base-model Escape Active, you can opt for heated side-view mirrors and black roof-rack side rails.

Higher trim levels allow you to add black roof-rack crossbars, while the highest trim comes with rain-sensing front windshield wipers as a standard feature. With the top trim, you also receive LED fog lamps, LED headlights with a light bar connecting the headlamps, and rear parking sensors as standard features.

Seating and Layout

With space for four passengers and the driver, the Escape features two cloth bucket seats in the front and a three-person bench in the rear. This bench is split 40/60 with foldable seatbacks to increase the Escape’s available storage space, and you can add heated front seats as an option on the base model. Higher trims offer standard heated front seats, along with either combination vinyl/cloth sport-style contour bucket seats or ActiveX-trimmed sport contour seats.

Every new Escape comes equipped with a dual-zone automatic climate-control system, six speakers, a rotary gear-shift dial, a day/night rearview mirror, a center-console storage bin, carpeted floor mats, an eight-inch infotainment screen, a push-button starter, and no fewer than eight cupholders.

Standard Technology

The Escape lineup’s infotainment hub is powered by Ford’s SYNC 4 software, featuring SiriusXM 360L, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Each model houses Ford’s Co-Pilot360 program, a bundle of intelligent safety features designed to provide comprehensive protection for you and your occupants. The Co-Pilot360 includes Autolamp automatic on/off headlights with a courtesy delay, the Blind Spot Information System, a Lane-Keeping System, and a Pre-Collision Assist.

Robust Mechanics

The base-model Escape comes with a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, while higher trims upgrade to the two-liter version. Starting with the second trim level, you can opt for the 2.5-liter iVCT four-cylinder Atkinson-Cycle hybrid engine to turn your Escape into a hybrid. All gas-engine variants in this year’s lineup come with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
