Smooth hybrid performance comes courtesy of the 2025 Ford Maverick‘s standard 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain with front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission. This standard version of the Maverick is equipped with a convenient 13.8-gallon gas tank.
The available 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine comes with all-wheel drive and a 16.5-gallon gas tank. Ford has paired this engine with a selection of available automatic transmissions. In the performance-focused Lobo trim, the EcoBoost is paired with a seven-speed Quick Shift transmission with paddle shifters. It also comes with performance-tuned suspension and steering.
